How To Stop Media Auto-download In Whatsapp

Whatsap is a largely used messanger all over the world. we all know by default whatsapp automatically download media (videos,music and photos) to our android phone when ever you turn on your data and open your whatsapp apk.
This is sometimes annoying,most especially when you have a small data bundle and you try to quickly check messages in your whatsapp, but before you know your data has been exhaused due to auto media downloading.

Luckily, there is a way to stop auto-download of videos,music,photos in whatsapp.

All you need to do is simply launch your whatsapp, click on the three dots in the top right hand corner.-> Go To Settings -> Select Data And Storage Usage> navigate down to "media auto-download"
To disable auto-downloading of media, tap on "when using mobile data"
now uncheck all the options i.e videos,audia,photos and documents and tap on ok.

Tap on "when connected on wifi"
also uncheck all the option and click OK.
By Default, whatsapp does not automatically download media when ON ROAMING,so dont bother about that, but you can also tap on it to see if any option is selected.

Now, you have to choose which media To Download Manually By tapping the download icon in the media file.

Note: voice messages are alway automatically downloaded.
