Although food is very important in the body, food should be taken with care as it can affect the body in some certain conditions.
There as some food you need to avoid eating ones you are above the age of 40. At this age,
adjustments should be made to improve the health
status of an individual.
Here are five foods you should
avoid once you’re 40 and
above:
1. Red meat
Diets high in red meat are usually
linked to high cholesterol,
cardiovascular disease and a
greater risk of diabetes. Men are
at a higher risk of prostate
cancer when they consume other
meats cooked at high
temperatures as this is often
carcinogenic.

2.Carbonated drinks
Carbonated drinks are usually
filled with caffeine, fructose and
refined sugar. The caffeine
content can trigger gout, and the
sugar can increase insulin level,
therefore, putting you at risk of
having a heart attack by 20
percent.

3. Flour products
avoid flour foods like White bread because they produce a state of
inflammation in the body which
can worsen arthritis and cause
spikes in blood sugar. Some
experts have explained that the
additive potassium bromate
contained in bread is toxic to
human cells and causes cancer in
animals.

4. Fried foods
avoid too consumption of fried food. is gradually becoming this kind of food usually
pump the arteries with oils. Also,
the calories in these fried foods
can cause weight gain which can
lead to other diseases and
hormonal imbalance, while the
unhealthy, heated oils found in
these foods can lead to heart
disease.
5. Fruit juice
though fruit juice is loved by all, it is usually not
advisable for people over the
age of 40. This is because the
beneficial fibre has already been
removed from the fruit and this
can spike the sugar level
especially for men with diabetes.
