In Facebook you can post on friends TimeLine and they too can post on your Timeline. During Birthday Anniversary, your Friends can Post a Birthday Greeting on your Timeline or any other useful Information they want to share across your friends thus Increasing Reputation.
   But sometimes people go ahead sharing useless posts and link on your timeline. or you start receiving too much notification for that post.

 Luckily Facebook added the option to stop others from posting on your timeline. To do so follow Below steps:

STOP OTHERS FROM POSTING ON YOUR TIMELINE
==> Open Facebook App or facebook web, and go to settings

==>  under Privacy, Click on Timeline and Tagging
==> click on "who can post on your Timeline.

==> change the Radio Button to "only me" and save.

How to Allow Friends to post on Your Status

Open Facebook App or facebook web, and go to settings
==>  under Privacy, Click on Timeline and Tagging
==> click on "who can post on your Timeline.
==> change the Radio Button to "Friends" and save.
